Personal Touch Cares believes that all people have a rightful place in society. People with intellectual/developmental disabilities are at risk of being devalued and may need help to attain valued social roles and valued lives. Personal Touch Cares is committed to assisting individuals in developing and maintaining relationships, opportunities, and living arrangements which are fulfilling, meaningful, and of the individual’s choice. This includes the right of basic human dignity. People with intellectual/developmental disabilities should be afforded the same dignity and respect as individuals without disabilities. Individuals will be encouraged to express individuality, make choices, select and maintain possessions, and will be afforded privacy and treated with respect.
Day Habilitation-Individual (DHI)
Day Habilitation-Individual (DHI) are services outside of the individual’s home that support learning and assistance in the areas of: Self-care, sensory/motor development, socialization, daily living skills, communication, community living, and social skills.
Participant Assistance and Care (PAC)
Participant Assistance and Care (PAC) Services are provided in order to allow participants (consumers) with intellectual/developmental disabilities to remain and live successfully in their own homes, function and participate in their communities and avoid institutionalization.
Respite Care
Respite care is temporary relief care designed for families of children or adults with special needs. Respite care can range from a few hours of care provided on a one-time basis to overnight or extended care sessions.
